I'm a software engineer, avid reader, and digital nomad.

Some things about me:

• On the Internet since 2004, which is my actual "home town"
• Wrote keylogger for fun when I was 13
• Started one company, 1M people use it.
• ML lead at Meetkai
• Working on Functionary
• Grew up in Istanbul, Turkey
• Living in Bali

Some things I believe:

• It's easier to finish hard things. Easy is boring.
• Write when you're emotional.
  • Read it when you're not.
  • You'll realize how unreasonable you were.
• Only read non-fiction. Unless you want text-only movie.
• Always start with the most naive solution.
  • Even if you're sure it won't 'scale'.
  • Then make it great.
  • Better have something that looks awful than something that doesn't exist.
• Unless you know every atom's coordinates in earth, you cannot predict what is gonna happen tomorrow.
• Assumption about other people's thoughts is as precise as gambling.
  • There is always another possibility that you haven't thought about in your guess.
• We will produce digital 'humans' through AI. Since we cannot stop it, we should do it too, so others won't exploit us.

Interests:

• My current areas of interest are AI, scraping and open source
• I've started 12 projects, only two of them succeeded.
